Great Beginnings...
What a neat house! I love the scale of this house and its gardens. The previous owners spent a lot of time creating garden spaces; now the current owners are ready to jump in and do more!
The weeping cherry tree is very happy, perhaps too happy...its branches have become a hazard to anyone approaching the front door from the driveway...certainly not a sustainable situation!
As well intentioned as the previous owners were, their plantings in the front of the house have failed. The boxwoods are scrawny and sad. We'll remove what is there, and repurpose as we are able...

Argh Matey!
No one expected this buried treasure! Dozens of bricks and tumbled rocks dotted the overgrown border in the front yard...I love these kinds of surprises! Hmmm...what will I do with them?!
Adding textures and tones...
Aha! The tumbled rocks really add a Nantucket flair to the red lobster mailbox and tall brass roofed bird house...They serve a function too, helping me to grade a slight slope...
The side yard above was impassable...not anymore :)
Like Whipped Cream on a Sundae...
This house NEEDED a window box...not all homes do but this one did!
