time to calm the chaos...
there are many yummy things in this front garden and some nice structure too...however, the weeds have taken over a bit and the cherry laurels took a beating during the winter...
we'll remove the weeds, remove the hedge in the middle and re-vamp both sides of the front door with new plantings, as well as recovered plantings that just need some TLC...

the hedge in the center was so heavy visually speaking and was never really suited well to that area...
the liriope had become so thick, it needed to be thinned out into smaller pieces...gotta love free plants :)

i really like the balance that the gardens provide to the front door...it was all out of whack before
now there are lovely textures that add to the existing foundation plantings...
